Question
Is there anyone out thriving in their start up business and what is it?
I have been separated from my current employment and received a severance package. This time around, I would love to make my money work for me and don’t punch another clock. I am open to start up suggestions. PLEASE DO NOT solicit your businesses to me, I am simply asking for help in brainstorming at this point. Thanks very much

Anything you are passionate about is a wonderful business! It's the passion that makes it sellable more than the what! Me - I like showing others how to do things (teacher) and I like money! This made me a great piano teacher and an even better online business owner. The key is in the planning. You have to plan as a start up. How much of x (service or product) do you have to sell to make y. Do you need to leverage - use employees - can you do this for free? (pay them commissions - they sell then you pay - no upfront) Please feel free to contact me - give me more details - I love the planning/brain storming stage! As an end note - don't do anything just for the money - that's a job. Do it cause you want it or you love it! Even something you've always wanted to do works - where do you think travel books come from?
