It should, because that's well over 10 years ago. But the easiest card to get would be in fact a secured credit card. Basicall a secured card allows you to vouch for yourself by requiring a deposit that sets up the credit limit. For example if you depost $300, then you could purchase up to $300 and pay back $300 like a regular credit card. Some benefits are that sometimes they're linked to savings accounts and CDs which build interest while you're building credit. Also, you have more control over the credit line to increase it if you add to the deposit. As long as you make your payments on time usually after a year, the card upgrades to a regular card and the deposit is given back since it won't be needed anymore, which you can use to start up an emergency fund. I posted serveral links to some secured card companies that should help good luck!

You can collect up to 25,000 miles annually, and can be redeemed for flights on partner airlines, hotel accommodations throughout the world, and car rentals. Additional benefits are: zero liability for unauthorized transactions, travel accident insurance and various Internet account associated services. The card does not charge any annual fee. But the drawback is the minimum APR cap for cash advances, set at 19.99%. www ...
