Ok well we went to a new years eve party tonight and some things got out of hand so we left...i decided to check my bank account. We had 677 dollars in the banking account. When I checked it we had 460 dollars in it. WTF...We had a couple of checks out and one two big checks of 427 (alltel contract deposit and phone) and 133 (aarons payment) which hasnt been deposited into the bank yet. It had on there a debit of 149.95 for USA CREDIT WEB 8006859354....once again WTF...I let my brother use our checking to do a online loan (which was a scam as you can tell) to help out with christmas. He used it and i authorized it about 2 weeks ago. Please help me out here cause if I dont get the 149.95 back than I aint gonna be able to cover my checks ive written...Ive always been really responsible and now this happens and ive been crying for the past hour and half. What do I do...PLEASE HELP ME THANKS

1) Don't panic. 2) Call that number (on the charge: 800-685-9354.) Explain that this is an unauthorized charge and ask for an immediate refund. Some of these charges are scams just rely on people not noticing, and when you call they cave in. They could also be able to tell you what exactly the charge was for. 3) If they don't cave in (which may happen,) and you still don't think it was a valid charge, call your bank. If you have a debit card/check card, look on the back of the card and call that number, which is usually a 24/7 helpline. Depending on your bank and how the charge ended up in your account, they will certainly listen, probably investigate, and may refund you the money. Mention that you have outstanding checks. Ask for their advice. 4) If you authorized a loan, accept that there may be nothing you can do until you pay off the loan. But try 2 and 3 first, and definitely try 1!

My guess is that every time you take money out, write a check, or make a deposit you should write it down at that very second. You probably should call your bank in the morning and they will be glad to help you resolve your problem.

You are screwed. Call your brother and beg $50-$100. Call your mom/dad/friends/etc. You want that money back in the account pronto. Then call the 1-800 number and protest the charge. Threaten that as soon as you hang up, you are protesting the charge with your bank. USA's MO is to offer a $114 refund (keeping a $35 setup fee), but whether or not that credit will ever show is questionable. What happened is that your brother got "crammed." In trying to find an online credit offer, he may have entered your info at site A, visited site B and had site B "borrow" the financial information from site A to steal the $149. (The time it happened to me, I had agreed to some "free rebates" and I figured they were free since I knew full well that I hadn't put in my cc number. They borrowed enough of my name and address to charge it anyway!) And USA isn't even a real credit card. It's a line of credit to buy crap from their overpriced CATALOG. You can only use the card with them.
