Desperately....upgrade to MYOB or Quicken?
I have a rather old version of Quicken for my small business. Any suggestion whether to upgrade to the latest QUicken or MYOB? I have been doing things manually which is very silly. I should get a good program and do the job for me. Could I transfer my Quicken data to MYOB? Is MYOB user friendly? million thanksssssss

It is logical, sensible, simple and easy to use and if set-up correctly it will streamline administration, freeing up the business owners’ time to concentrate on running their business. There is a huge amount of MYOB support available for the end-user. MYOB software will grow with your business, and add-on solutions can be utilised for specialist requirements. MYOB Accounting Plus has both payroll, multi-currency plus many more features. It has a limited Customer Relationship Management feature within card files. It allows you to mailmerge letters - from advertising to accounting related one. It also has a To Do List which can be set up to remind you of all business tasks. It has Jobs & Categories lists available. What packages are they ;- If you are running a small store you may consider Retail Basics at the front end. It retails for less than $100. There are more expensive and more functional packages available. Where are you located? You can download a free 3 month trial version from www ... If you are not in America, you can go to the website & click on the links for the relevant country. In Australia visit www.myob.com.au. You should speak to your accountant - what software would they prefer you to use (this will save you money at tax time) as it will easily integrate with their systems. You could also proactively search for an MYOB savvy accountant. I would also recommend, what ever software you get you get an expert to spend two hours setting it up properly for you – you can find an MYOB Certified Consultant on the web site. I am an MYOB Certified Consultant, so I am biased, but I have a lot of happy clients. Yes you can transfer your Quicken data into MYOB. Yes it is user friendly if you put some time into understanding it.

I actually don't recommend either one. The best small business accounting software (under $1M year revenue) I have found is online Quickbooks. You can go to www ... . I do absolutely recommend the online version. I've had it for two years and love it and so do my bookkeepers and accountant. Plus the upfront cost is very low, it has automated billing and a small monthly fee.
