What's the best time of day to start an eBay auction?
Obviously, not 3 in the morning, because as it ends, not as many people will see it, and there's no rush to try to win the item. When is the "rush hour" for eBay users? When is the number of eBay users online at its peak?

eBay prepared a very interesting report entitled "eBay Seller Central Report: How Buyers Use eBay" pages ... The report advises that you time your auctions in such a way that it closes either on a Monday or Sunday evening as traffic is heaviest on Mondays and Sundays

The best time to end auctions is between 8pm and midnight EST. This gives the entire US a peak time to bid on and buy items. The best nights to end items are Sunday, and then Saturday. I've had great results listing items that end on Sunday night around 8 to 9pm. There are a lot of people on eBay at that time, and it causes bidding to go a lot higher.
