If your looking to establish or re establish credit with bad credit, then try applying on-line for the following credit cards for bad credit. There are however, annual fees involved, but they are easy credit cards to get for a bad or no credit situation. - Orchard Bank - First Premier Bank Good Luck!

My wife got a capital one card when she had a credit score in the high 500's . So I would try them. There are always credit card companies out there that approve people in that credit range. They probably will start you at a very small credit line though...Just beware of the extermely high rates they might be charging you.

Try Capital one and bank of america. with bank of america do the pre-appvl. and then you will get the card. Also, do not apply for credit cards that you have to pay to get the card

Although Capital One is easier to get if your credit isn't great, the major drawback with them is that they don't properly report your account with the credit bureaus. They report the current balance as your credit limit instead of the actual credit line, so it wouldn't help your cause to try to build credit if it's not going to report correctly. Orchard Bank's a pretty good place especially if you're starting out or starting over. Another option would be to open a secured credit card. Where you bank may offer them. You would have to put a deposit upfront to get a credit limit of the same amount of the deposit. You can think of this as building credit with a savings account becuase the deposit gains interest just like a savings account. It would help to raise the limit periodically so that it would look better on your report with a high limit. As long as you pay on time, and either keep the balance low or paid in full, usually after a year you get the deposit back with interest and either the card converts to a regular one or a better card's offered. And if you raised the limit duringthat time, the high limit like I said will look a lot better on your report. I posted links to some secured card sites, including Orchard Bank
