Go to your credit union. If you don't have one, look for one with an open enrollment policy. Credit Unions are good at looking at the person, not the paper.

So basically you're looking for someone to loan you money that won't mind you not being able to pay them back. Good luck dude.

First I don't think everyone is over their max on credit there is no such thing. There is over extending your debt to income ratio but never your credit. What you need to do is apply with a financial company that is national. Then work with them to get where you need to be if you work with a good rep they will tell you what they are looking for and you should be ok. Although I agree with the earlier statement of go to the credit union they look at the person more than just credit.

I'm glad you've already decided to avoid pay day loans - they're definitely not worth it. You need to find a lender that specializes in loans for people with bad credit. A company that I'm familiar with is: www ... I got to know them because of their auto loan program, but they offer all kinds of loans and lines of credit. I'm not sure how much you need, but since this is for school expenses, you might do well with a line of credit that you can draw on as needed. They will get you the best interest rate possible for someone with poor credit, and they're great about explaining all the options and how everything works.
