Think about it ... Are Home Depot shoppers likely to enjoy opera, classic, or rap music? Maybe a few, but the clearly have more people who like country music than any other kind. After all, they're not stupid.

i dn..i'm guessin that the guy that is in control of all that likes it...but i've never heard country music when i've been in there

It must be a popular genre of music where you live. Here on Long Island, where there aren't even any country music radio stations any more, the stores do not play country music.

It depends on where you live and your demographics. You must live somewhere highly populated with people in their 30-40's and in the south if they do that. I live in the same type of area, which would call for it, but they choose not to. For these reasons only, I tell you they must have a standard but don't make general managers adhere to it. Otherwise, the entire south would be DONE with those places.

LOL that makes me laugh, they should have like some pump it music, the kind that makes you want to go climb a mountain. So it will get you wanting to build instead of just doing because your wife will kill you if taht darn hole in the wall gets any bigger.jk The kind of music that makes you dance and jump as you're leaving the store. OOOHHH!! I just checked on line and it says that all of the Home Depot and Do it Center owners are related to Toby Keith , Tim Mgraw, and Carrie Underwood, and they're trying to advertise it through the other family business besides singing. ~lol Hope I helped~ ~Penguin~Helper~

maybe its the music choice for the employee & managers. Personally, I was in Home Depot the other day & they were playing soft rock music.
