Can I put money into a bank account with a prepaid visa credit card?
I have $82.20 on a prepaid visa 'Vanilla Visa' credit card & I accidentially paided for something through paypal & the funds were paid from my bank account. www.vanillavisa.com My question is: Can I take the credit card to the bank and have them put the $82.2 funds on the card into my bank account? Joseph is correct and will be selected as my best answer. I contacted my bank and I don't have the ATM option with this card therefor I cannot do a cashwithdraw type transaction.

As long as the card does not restrict cash withdrawals, any bank displaying VISA should be able to debit the card and put the cash amount you desire into your bank account. The other way around this is to use an ATM for a withdrawal off of the card and then deposit the cash yourself.

Yes you should be able to, it's basically cash in a plastic form and they have the ability to get advances on visas, etc.

Why don't you just use the Visa to pay for your groceries this month or whatever else you would have paid for with your checking account. Unless the Visa is with the same bank that your account is with, I don't think they would do it unless you have some sort of cash advance provision on the Visa.
