Yes. A Visa gift card can be used just like your Visa credit card. The only problem I have ran into is when I purchase something off eBay and the person wants a confirmed address. Since it's a gift card, it's not assigned to anyone, so there is no address assigned to it. And when you use your gift card, make sure you tell the teller to press "credit" and not "debit".

Yes. A Visa Gift Card is just like a credit card. There are some minor differences. But it does work the same in stores or on the Internet.

You can use it until it runs out of the credit balance it came with.

Yes, but there is a catch. Your final purchase cannot exceed the available amount on the card, or it will be refused. You have to shop verrry carefully so that your purchase is within a few cents of the available balance.
