Question
What are some short-term living options in Atlanta, GA? I recently accepted a 3 month contract.?
I recently accepted a 3 month contract in Atlanta, GA. I don't want to lease an apartment and move my furniture until I find out if the contract goes long-term. I'm considering the roommate option. Any other ideas or any help w/ finding safe, professional roommates would be appreciated. Thanks!

you can find listings for people looking for roommates on atlanta.craigslist.com and www.creativeloafing.com, also ajcclassifieds.com. I have also had luck with roommates.com Craigslist might also have sublet listings. If you are a professional, I would not try the boarding houses suggested in the other posting. It does not seem like they would be very safe.

I used to live in Atlanta. I loved it! Anyway, I would consider one of the weekly hotels. There are some good ones and they run about $200 a week. Amerisuite is a good one to look. Also, you can rent a room at some of the boarding houses. The price varies on where you live. I've seen some as cheap as $90.00 a week, but remember you get what you pay for! There are many people in the Atlanta area looking for roomates. I would look for homeowners that want someone to help with the mortgage. The only thing about that is many of them want a 6 month or 1 year lease. Good Luck!
