Step 1:  Sign up for Yahoo! Merchant Solutions.

Here's what to expect during the sign up process and your first view of the Yahoo! Merchant Solutions interface:

First you'll choose a Yahoo! Merchant Solutions package.
After you've decided which plan you'd like to start with, click the "Sign Up" button to enter the sign up process.

Next you'll complete the registration process.
Signing up for Yahoo! Merchant Solutions is fast and simple - and you can speed the process even more if you have the following information on hand:

  • Your company contact information
  • Your business name
  • Ideas for your Yahoo! Merchant Solutions domain name (like www.yourstore.com). You'll get to choose a custom domain name for your store during the order process. Read our tips on choosing a domain name. Note: If you already own your own domain name, we also provide instructions for using that domain with your new Yahoo! Merchant Solutions plan.
  • Your credit card information. You'll need to enter a credit card number to start building your online store.
  • Your Yahoo! ID. A Yahoo! ID gives you private access to Yahoo! Small Business solutions and other services on the Yahoo! Network. If you don't have a Yahoo! ID, you'll be invited to choose one during the order process.
After completing the sign up process, you'll receive a series of welcome emails that include detailed instructions for many of the points introduced in this Getting Started overview. Also, a Yahoo! Merchant Solutions consultant will call to welcome you to the service and answer any questions you may have about setting up your online store.
