How to Make Money by Solving Peoples Problems
Before the internet you were limited in the type of business you would be able to start or even create. You would likely have to buy into a retail chain, open up a service location and most definitely need to get a retail location and physical store.
Now the world is completely different and anyone can start a business from the comfort of their own home with a web site, blog or even running ad campaigns.
In this article we are going to focus our efforts on how to make money by solving people’s every day problems and becoming the source of information for when they type something into the search engine.
There are three reasons why someone is going to visit your web site:
- Buy something
- Looking for information
- Be entertained
That’s it!
Nearly every web site will fall into one of these three categories.
We are going to focus on the “looking for information” niche.
Here are a few examples of ways that you can start cashing in with your own sites.
Looking for Company Information
How many times have you purchased a product or service and had no idea how to use it or needed to contact the company directly? There are millions of people searching for this type of information every day. Being the resource for finding the contact numbers for support to any of the major companies in the world can result in some pretty hefty traffic volumes and money if you can monetize it.
Product and Service Reviews
Speaking of being in buying mode, every day millions of people are going to Google to search for user reviews and feedback on products and services before they buy. A good majority of these people will actually buy through these review sites since they are already in “buying mode”. Focus your efforts on becoming a review site for individual products and services and you could do pretty well.
Health Related Questions
If you have a health question, you are probably going to visit Google or go directly to WebMD.com. Their whole business model has been focused on providing the best health questions for nearly anything you can think of. Their site then makes money by selling relevant health, medicine and doctor ads throughout their site.
Every Day Questions
We already scratched the surface on many different questions and niches that you can start to focus your efforts on, but the list is really endless. One ways to find new questions and ideas is to simply think about how many questions you and your friends ask on a daily basis.
At the end of the day it’s important to realize that if you can put in the time and effort to become the resource for answering people’s questions and solving problems, you will continue to grow your brand, traffic and revenue on a daily basis.
