Jabra has announced the Jabra Soulmate Mini, the follow-up to the Soulmate speaker launched in 2012. The new model offers a rugged design, so you can take your tunes on the move.
The speaker apes the design of the previous Soulmate speaker but shrinks the dimensions, measuring 125 x 55 x 60mm and weighing 295g. It's wrapped in a rubber finish, available in an array of bright colours, but also providing protection from bumps and splashes.
There are two speakers on board, along with a mic so you can use the Soulmate Mini to take your calls. It offers Bluetooth connectivity, along with the convenience of NFC for quick pairing to your smartphone. There's also a 3.5mm cable for a physical connection, if you need it.
The internal battery is said to give 8 hours of music on the go, and as with many other speakers, you can change your source device via the included USB socket.
The Jabra Soulmate Mini is available in blue, red, yellow and black. There's no word on pricing or availability just yet.
Jabra has also updated the original Soulmate so that it now supports NFC too for simple pairing.
