HireRabbit was launched as a Social Recruiting platform which helps businesses build job portals on Facebook. The start up was a part of the Microsoft Accelerator program too.
According to founder Prafull Sharma, the social recruiting platform provided by HireRabbit will make it easier for businesses to showcase their company’s culture as well as engage with prospective candidates. In a world where the talent acquisition teams scan around your LinkedIn Profiles, Facebook (with 5 times the size of LinkedIn’s 200 Million members) can also be used to showcase and present your company’s case for hiring fresh talent. With the burst of new start ups trying to make a mark in talent acquisition space and the likes of Naukri and Monster trying to take the social road too, this space will only get heated up in the future for some stiff competition.
How does HireRabbit work?
The product is being flagged as a Saas (Software as a Service) model and is really easy to set up. You can opt in for a 30-day free trial and sign up through your Facebook account connecting your company’s page to the application. A two-step easy process which doesn’t require programming skills from the company’s point of view and hence solves the problem of hiring a developer for the same.
Once you sign in, there are 4 tabs to greet you with:
1. Dashboard: Dashboard gives your social statistics if you have integrated Facebook page as well as your Twitter account with all the important metrics such as impressions and Unique Reach. The Conversion Funnel gives the conversion % of people coming to your Tab Views and then their behaviour across the application tab.
2. Jobs: You can post/manage your job postings from here. The application can be geo-targeted to a certain city/country and can be shared on your Facebook Page along with your company’s Twitter handle.
3. Customize: A Tab for viewing open positions is automatically added to your Facebook page which can be customized via this Tab. You can customize the colour, banner and all other description details according to your company’s branding guidelines. The set up here again is an easy to know interface which worked for me hassle free. A fan can search the tab like a working job portal according to his/her experience and demands and share the same to his Facebook/Twitter/LinkedIn timeline to let his friends know as well making it a 360 degree social experience.
4. Analytics: Being an analytics freak, this is one tab which excited me as well. The tab boasts of job detail views and applications with a trending in place for the same. This tab will help the companies know their conversion rate between applicants viewing the job tab and the conversion % of people applying for it. However, with Facebook providing their own Application Insights, HireRabbit could have integrated those insights in to their own analytics and come up with a detailed analytics section tailor made for better understanding of which content is working and which is not.
Social recruitment in India
Recruiters scouting talents on social media is a daily task and we have seen earlier how businesses have come forward and tried to simplify the process. In 2011 we had shared about Hireplug, a Facebook app developed to leverage the social features, though the app is no more functioning. Later on we also witnessed companies such as Intel India, Capgemini India, Aditi Technologies building their own app or using third party apps to fulfil their objective of scouting young and deserving talent from social media.
HireRabbit works like an end-to-end solution provider for your recruitment needs or one can say it is as good as running your recruitment campaign on social networks without wearing the cap of a wiz kid and also being able to monitor and manage from one point. This would be definitely acceptable for many small and mid sized firms who would be having specific needs and wouldn’t want to waste time either scouting or hiring a recruitment firm.
With an upgraded version, you can do much more to boost your brands storytelling in a more captivating fashion. HireRabbit can leverage Facebook’s story telling version to turn it to your companies professional benefit in a nice and easy way.
HireRabbit is surely worth giving a try and assessing if your recruitment demands are being met.
