Is Blogging A Reliable Paycheck?
So, the other day my neighbor asked me whether blogging was a reliable paycheck or not. As you could probably imagine, I had to sit him down and tell him why this is not only a reliable paycheck, but a passive income as well.
For me, blogging is a very reliable paycheck because I run several blogs. I would like all of you to chime in here and let me know whether you think blogging is a reliable income or not. I understand that some people don’t think it is reliable because of Google and all the changes that they make but a lot of bloggers have diversified where they get traffic from.
Why Blogging Is Reliable
People Love To Read – People love to read and that is not going to change anytime soon. I know this for a fact because why else would Google, Apple, Amazon and Barnes & Noble come out with all those things to help people read more? The fact of the matter is that people read more than they do anything else because that is one of the only ways they will learn new things. For example, you are reading this post.
You Own Your Blog – Another reason why blogging is reliable is because you own your own blog. The only way that anything will happen to your blog is if you decide to close it down. The nice thing about having your own blog is that you can write whatever you want on it and nobody can say anything about it. Ok, that is not completely true because people will say stuff about controversial content but that is all they can do.
Thousands Of Ways To Make Money – Google AdSense, Amazon Affiliate Program, Clickbank, Commission Junction, private advertising – These are just some of the ways that you can make money from your blog. There are truly thousands of different ways to make money from your blog and that is why I love this. One of the things that I love at the end of each month is to see all the checks get deposited into my back account. Who wouldn’t like that?
Internet Is The Place To Be – Do you know how many people are on the internet on a daily basis? The number is staggering and it exceeds a billion, so that right there tells you that the internet is the place to be. Just think, where else would there be a billion people in one place? Nowhere that is why getting a piece of the pie that the internet has to offer is a great way to run your business. Almost every business that I know of has a website and it because they understand that everybody flocks to the internet to answer questions they have or just to kill some time.
The funny thing about the list above is that all of them are what I told my neighbor the other day. When he came up to me and ask whether this was a reliable paycheck or not I was actually a little shocked because I am doing quite well for myself and I would have thought that he knew that.
Now, I am not freakishly rich due to my blogs but I do live comfortably because of it. This is the main reason why I am always trying to get friends, family, and now my neighbor into blogging. Whether you are a stay at home parent or a well respected doctor, blogging is a great way to make a paycheck.
Just do yourself a favor and get started blogging if you have not already. Also, if you do have a blog that makes you a steady income, then I would love to take a look at it and hopefully expand the number of blogs that I follow.
