What is sales tax in Los Angeles?
Tax rate on www.boe.ca.gov shows 9.75% on 4/1/2011, yet another pdf file on the same site shows 10.25% effective 4/1/2011.

there are some communities in the LA county that have passed the additional amount on their individual community sales tax
for the most part LA county is 9.75%, I believe there are three communities at the 10.25%
