The two easiest blog platforms are Wordpress and Blogger from Google. I recently built a blog using Wordpress and had a hard time. Blogger is much easier to use, but, between the two - Wordpress has more features. Plus, once you learn Wordpress, it is very easy to work with. With Wordpress there is a free version and a paid version. I would also suggest that you pay for a domain - to look more professional and serious. Good luck.
