Bidding on an auction while "Seller is away" (in eBay)?
Do I pay instantly if I win, or do I pay until the seller gets back?
Is this safe?
I want to purchase an item that is in auction, but it says the seller is away. I just want to make sure it's safe to do this and I won't end up paying and not getting my item, ever.
If the seller is away it generally means they aren't responding to emails and after you pay you'll have to wait until they get back to ship. Check the listing, it usually says when they'll be back or posting off items that have sold. Sellers going on holidays is fine, sellers with less than 98% feedback, less than 50 sales or neutral feedback indicating that previous buyers had a less than satisfactory experience, they're the ones to avoid!
