Go to www.score.org/mentors and enter your zip code. On the next screen, you will get information on the nearest SCORE chapter. Call them and arrange for a free meeting with a volunteer SCORE mentor. They will guide you through the process and you can meet with them as many times as you need to.
SCORE is a nonprofit association dedicated to entrepreneur education and the formation, growth and success of small business nationwide and is a resource partner with the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA).
SCORE has 364 chapters in locations throughout the United States and its territories, with 13,000 volunteers nationwide. Both working and retired executives and business owners donate time and expertise as business mentors.
You need to graduate from high school and then continue on to business school which can be a two year associates degree program, or a four year bachelors degree program.
Everything that you need to do is going to cost a great deal of money, as in hundreds of thousands of dollars, setting up business permits and getting all of the licensing that is required takes a great deal of time and money, it does not happen overnight.
You have to have a complete business plan drawn up, usually with the help of a lawyer, that you hire and that will have to be presented to your town council, they will decide on if you can open a business of that type in your town.
You need to find someone who can mentor you in the whole process, if your high school has someone who is a business instructor, you can ask them for help and guidance.
While you are in school and college, pay special attention to improving your spelling and communication skills, as both of those are very important to excel in if you are going to be a future business owner.
Good luck in the future, I am sure you will make a great many people happy to not travel 80 miles for a gaming store.
u must wait til age 18 to open up but for now, you can do market research and write a biz plan
gaming store; not sure what that is--if it involves gambling, you need state licenses.
if it is for gamers, make sure enough people want what you will offer; I can't see it surviving in such
a small town.
