Question
How do I find out if a restaurant's actually going to be built in this location in the future in my town?
Anyway to find out business plans before the business is actually built? I know businesses have to get permits, but you can find out right before the hiring process, what future jobs would be hiring, but any way you can look online or a number you can call to find out about plans for what an old building will be turned into?
This is just word of mouth, possibly a rumor, but my dad told me at his business meeting, which he goes to a club involved with the community, that helps the community out, some friends of his he heard talking at the meeting were saying that a Taco Bell was going to be built at this building that had a previous restaurant at that location, but that shut down a few months ago, and a Taco bell was going to be put in it's place. This place is right near my house, which will be convenient if it does. My dad told me and said it was probably just a rumor, but how would those people know at the meeting before anyone else would? I know in another town near me, they are building a different fast food restaurant, because a client at my work apparently worked in the restaurant industry or knew someone that worked in the industry, so that's how they knew. But, I doubt a restaurant or a business would release this information to the public unless they were 100 percent sure, and if that was the case, wouldn't I be able to search on google, and it would bring something up about the Taco bell being built in the future sometime? I don't want to sound stupid calling Taco Bell and asking them, because it would be really only the corporate office that would know. Google doesn't have any info about it, when I did a search for it.
@ Kemperk, I never said I was seeking a job. I was just saying how you really only find out about businesses being open right before the hiring process, not me actually looking.

A company may be looking at a property long before there is any serious money spent for construction. Construction could take months and the hiring process never starts until the property is close to completion. Companies often will not announce they are building a site so that the competition does not jump in and build nearby.

by Henry - 5 months agoif there is no sign out front "future home of" and the restaurant name, ignore anything till there is.
in the mean time, seek a job at McDonalds or any chain rest.
