What's the best way to exchange a product you've purchased?

Should I bring the item up to the service desk and then go get the product you intend to replace it with. Or should I get the replacing product and bring them both up to the service desk at the same time? So confused... Never made an exchange before.

Bring them both at the same time unless you want to stand in line twice.
