Why do grocery stores have 10 registers but only open around 3?
The store was so packed, lines were way up to the isles and I heard one lady say ''They should open them all jeez i haven't got all day''. Open more!

Cashiers are so expensive, that you don't leave them at a till unless utterly necessary. In Europe they have self service scanner tills, saving them a fortune.

Most stores have them all open at their busiest times; only some the rest of the time.
And self-scanners are common in the US also, not just Europe.
