Are items on sale for Black Friday online as well? or only in store?

Ladies/Gentlemen,
I am new in US.
I am going to buy a few things from Target and Macys (chocolate and clothing) during black Friday sales.
I would like to ask you if I can also buy online ? or I have to go to the store? and What time the sale will end on Friday

Most stores have it to where you can shop on-line also but if they are out of stock then you lose out.
