Question
Computer Company Name Ideas?
I want to start a computer company that builds custom computers such as what cyberpower and ibuypower are doing.
Then in the future we would start making custom Computer Cases and Power Supply Units.
After we start producing and selling those we would start making Motherboards and Non-reference AMD & Nvidia graphics cards.
I've come up with these names:
Powerboot
ProtoLight
Biogen
Goosehead
Panther
I was thinking of going with an animal name, because it'd be really easy to design a logo for it.
If you have any ides for names that would be great. I want it to be a simple name. Or you can make a big list of names, me and my team will sort through the names and pick the best one.

Your name is the first step of your brand. You are very smart to take time and select the an appropriate name...it may make or break your business. Peter Drucker, a famous American management expert said that business is only about two things; Marketing and Innovation. Think about it...if you mess up your name (your brand) you will have difficulties making it.
I remember a few years ago this dude started a shipping/postal centers (like those UPS centers) and he call it "Going Postal". Stupid! He was not in business very long! Who wants to be reminded of the postal massacres every time they send a letter to their mothers? (This is a true story!)
So the best way to come up with a name is to think "marketing".
Start by identifying what your target audience will be looking for. Think of why would someone look for you, your company or your products. Start listing words or groups of words.
Then go to a reverse search engine, like the one Google Adwords provides (see link below). And look up those groups of words and find some that are searched often and have little references for...that means that there's a wide gap...it will be easy for you to master that gap from a marketing perspective.
Then decide on a few names you like and look them up on www.goDaddy.com to see if the URL (domain name) is available or not. You will need a website for that name...you'd better make sure it is available before you start you business.
Think marketing!
Does that help?
