Question

Need some help! (sellers on ebay)?

Ok, so I had sold an item on ebay. The person had already payed yesterday afternoon, and I'm trying to ship it out today.
So far, I've already packed the item, and put the person's address in front of it. But.. now what?
Do I bring it to the post office now, or do I need to do anything extra?
I also want to request a delivery confirmation - how do I go about doing that?
Also, do I need to print a shipping label from online, or no?

Please help. Thank you.

If you print a shipping label online you need to know the total weight of the package. Don't guess or try to use your bathroom scale. A single ounce can make a difference in cost. If you don't have a very accurate scale then take it to the post office and stand in line at the service desk.

When it's your turn they will weigh it and ask how you want it shipped. They may also ask if it is perishable, fragile, ect. Inform them you want Delivery Confirmation on it. Pay them. They will give you the little tab from the DC and it will have the number on it.

You have a choice to print a label online (from Ebay or USPS) or in person. It costs you less to print IT online and delivery confirmation then is only 20 cents. In person delivery confirmation is 80 cents. It is wise to do that to prove you shipped it. Make sure the payment has cleared before you ship.
