Can I have some tips for selling stuff on craigslist? (please)?

I put up a few adds for some things I'm not using anymore. And I kinda need the cash because I'm saving up for a new puppy, and I want to pay for it myself. So yeah how long could it be before I get a response? One item I think could sell well is my Wii. I've rarely used it and it's in AWESOME condition. And I put up one add yesterday, and then I posted again today for like $20 lower. (this time I have it up for $90 last time I posted it I put it up for $110).. but I'm not really getting anywhere. I also put up adds for a couple of books. 2 being twilight books (the first and the last books in the series. The first one I have in paper back. And it's in ok condition. The Twilight Breaking Dawn book I have looks BRAND new and it's in hard cover). And I'm selling both of them together for $20. Separately $5 for paper back & $15 for hard cover... and I just put up an add for the 7th harry potter book (paper back) for $8. And it looks brand new too. B/c I never read it. I have detailed head lines for the adds. But I feel like they're never going to be read at all. How do you get your add's noticed too? Does craigslist actually work at all? How long was it before you sold something on their?

Craigslist isn't really a place where you sell books, although you can but its kind of a waste of time. People go to Craigslist to buy cars, household stuff, furniture. Selling clothing on Craigslist really doesn't work well.

You may try to have a garage sale. Keep in mind people want things for cheap. If you bought something new for $100.00 people expect to pay no more than $20.00

Maybe you can sell your books online at Amazon.com but you will need your parents to help you.

You can make money by picking up cans and bottles at your local schools on the weekends especially after a game. Collect these in your garage and wait until you have 2-3 big garbage bags full and then get money for your efforts.

You can also depending on where you live pick up free stuff on the side of the road and resell on craigslist. This way you pay nothing for the items but at the same time you make $
