what kind of training do they give you at a surf shop?

I just got hired at a surf shop and i don't know very much about surfing, the guy told me to go to thier Office and give them my SS card and license and then come in for training. i'm really excited because this is my first job, but im also FREAKING out, i don't know what to except and i don't soak things up like a sponge it takes me several tries to get things right and i'm afraid that might cause problems. I heard about the probation or "30 day trial" they give you so im going to do my best but i'm also not that great with money. so any pointers or tips on what i can except working as a sales assocatie/ cashier?

what training? Cash register, inventory, location in comparison to the water--and your competitors.
