Question

Having my own piercing business at home?

I know that I'm going to get slated for this question but if I took a course at a tattooing studio and then had my own piercing business at home would that be possible? Or is it affordable to open a studio? I'm not looking for harsh comments and I'm sure I'm being nieve about this but I've been asking for months and months at studios for a placement and there are no spaces

I don't see why you couldn't do that. As long as you have a certified license, and proof of that you should be okay. But make sure it's known that you have a certified license to be a piercer, because doing it out of your home could give people the wrong idea. That you might not be as sanitary as a regular piercing shop or that you don't know what you're doing. You'd also want to make it look professional like a regular shop would. Maybe have a stand/desk for all of you equipment and maybe a tattooing table as well for people to lay/sit on. I think as long as you look professional and people know you're professional you will get good feedback from customers and people will want to come to your business.

You'd have to follow all your local board of health regulations for running a piercing studio. It's not likely that a home environment would meet their requirements. You would probably need to rent commercial space.
