How can I own a homeless shelter?

I graduated high school already n I'm gonna be 18 in a month. I don't know what to do to accomplish this. I want to known for helping others. I want to own a homeless shelter. Here's what I wan to do with a homeless shelter. I want one that has computers so people can look for jobs, beds, security, both men, women and children but women and men separated. Cuz they might be rapists. N I know that u don't get money for that but still. Why do I have to do to own my own homeless shelter. Do I get a business degree or what? How many years do I go to acomplish this. Also can I go to a technical school?

Well, any type of business requires money. Where will you get money? I say raise the money through funding. If you are honestly selfless , funding won't be impossible but can be difficult. You need the right reasons. Before starting your own , work at one and see how they operate. Find the ins and outs of the operation. For funding , you need legitimacy! After you understand how a homeless shelter works, start a non-profit organization that supports a cause. Make your organization popular and gradually initiate the funding phase. This takes time. I cannot give you a specific time span it really depends on you. A business degree can be helpful but that is all theory. Nothing better than real life experience. Good Luck.
