Question
Someone gave me a card for a modelling agency?
This lady said on behalf of her grandson she was looking for people who could be models.. but I went on the website and everyone looked proper stunning, you know like your typical model.. but I'm quite plain looking. People say I should be a model because I'm 5 ft 11, but my face isn't special. In fact I've been told I'm ugly and when I post my picture on here people say I need to sort my face out and I'm not attractive and I'm plain etc :/

Plain is great for a runway model - the point of a runway model is to be a walking hanger and not have her face distract from the clothing. And a plain model is a blank canvas that can be made up to have many different looks. Someone who is stunning will always look the same no matter what her hair and makeup are like. A plain model is like a chameleon and is more versatile as she can be made up to look edgy, androgynous, rock and roll, glam, sexy, etc
Look at Freja Beha Erichsen, one of the top runway models in the world who has plain features without makeup but look how different she looks depending on how she is styled

She looks completely different in every photo - that's what makes a great model

In my opinion models are pretty plain looking.. & are real tall.
by Sam Bam - 12 months agoPlain doesn't matter in modelling, plain can mean trendy, modern, in any case by the time make up artist have finished with you the desired look would be accomplished, its your figure that is priority not your face.
