What are some tips for selling produce on the side of the road?

I will have a good bumper crop of tomatoes, might have other produce to sell and I do a lot of baking with sourdough. There is also a carpool type parking lot in my town out on the main highway and I was thinking of parking there. We are just a small town on a busy highway that tourist pass by on and don't have town laws that require vendor licenses either. Also, In my state we have a cottage industry law where you can make up to $15,000 tax free selling homemade items, including food and not be under any mandates or kitchen inspections.
