I'm trying to do some SEO for a couple websites I run for clients and I want to do some paid backlinking.
If possible please provide me with a source to buy cheap backlinks that has worked for you.

I was searching around for a good backlinking source myself, then I stumbled upon this site:

A year ago some of the private blog network submissions offered at Fiverr.com were a bargain, since then several of the better known networks were de-indexed.
Bought links can be a dangerous, particularly since Google have been actively sending out "Unnatural link pattern" warnings to those registered with webmaster tools, failing to respond by shedding some of the low quality links can results in being deindexed, in some cases for a 1 year probation period.
There are a lot of bot-spam generated backlink suppliers that probably do more harm than good.
Some of the private offers in internet marketing and webmaster forums might have a better chance of staying under the radar, diversify your sources, links to inner pages are easier to eliminate if needed, only gold standard quality links should go to the home page.
