What are some copywriter rules?

I have a dream to become a Youtuber and I need to know something. Is it illegal to use someone's else's song but still give them credit? Thank you for reading

You can use someone's song but you HAVE to give them credit and you can't make it as if it were your own, as in making money off it...hope this helps..
