Twitter is better for microblogging. LinkedIn is better for professional networking. You can't compare the two as they have very different purposes. That would be like asking which is better: Yahoo!Answers or an Ice Cream Truck - your answer will depend on what you're looking for: answers, or ice cream.

Twitter, because linkedin is for getting jobs and you do not want a job supplier to look you up on linkedin and find stuff that they aren't supposed to see.
