The difference between SEO, Search Marketing, and Sponsored Search?1 year ago - 1 answers
SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization. This refers to ways you design your website and the content of your site. You want to make it Google-friendly so that it will be indexed properly and get good placement in Google natural search results. There are many Dos and Don'ts for SEO. Be sure to consult a professional.
Search Marketing and Sponsored Search are really the same thing. For this you use Google Adwords, or Bing Ads (previosuly MSN Adcenter) to run ads that show at the top of the search pages, above the natural search results. These ads are CPC or cost-per-click.
Hope that helps!
