If you are saying "current website URL" is on a a free web host, perhaps a subdomain, you may well be able earn revenue, some free hosts restrict commercial activity, some like Google's Blogger.com has relatively few limitations to the advertisements you place.

It is difficult to make money with a web site, most don't get enough traffic, a subdomain makes a site appear to be less important to the users and may be more difficult to get ranked in the search engines. You have more certain control of a web site when you own the domain name, making it a more secure investment of the significant time required to make a successful site, a free host is able disable your site on a whim.

Hi German Cruz,
If you really love your website and are making some income from it, please pay for the domain name less the domain provider withdraw it from you. Your lease could be probably for a year and the domain reseller may only give you a month after which they will withdraw their service and your URL will not be anywhere in the internet.

If you do not renew your domain name registration or your hosting, your website disappears from the internet. No viewers = no possible income.
