What is the best way to gain customers for my new ironing service?

I have recently started a ironing service in my local area. So far I have had business cards printed up by vistaprint, approached shops, and had cards put up on broads with little success. Last week I even traveled to another town a few miles away handing cards out to shops etc. At the start of this week I even wrong another set of business letters and stapled my business card to the letters.

I was wondering where am I going wrong and do I need to allow more time?

If you can i suggest getting a webstite but that might not be nessasery unless u want to go more like state wide... Also
Another thing you should try is to just tell your friends about it... Tell them to tell there friends... And just wait a while untill you satisfied with your customer numbers. Another reason you might not be getting attention is if your priceing is a bit high... Hope that helps.
