Will a .aero instead of .com domain name hurt website traffic?

".aero" is a top level domain name reserved exclusively for aviation. If I use it instead of a ".com" ect. for my website, will there be any drawbacks due to search engines, ect.? Thank you.

There will be no drawbacks from search engines but people are used to .com domains so you might want to buy the .com domain as well and forward it to the .aero just to be safe (it'll only cost like $4 per year with promo codes from pricecheck.me/ ).
