Is there any way to upgrade the Mysql version?

I have a small business account in Yahoo (a couple of them but that's not the point) and i was trying to run a few scripts and i realized that some commands did not run ... so I checked the db engine version and it says it is 4.1.14 ... Is there any way to upgrade the Mysql server to a more recent version ?

The good news is that we are going to be upgrading our MySQL server version very soon. Unfortunately, we do not have a specific date yet. We really appreciate your patience.
