Question

Do you think my invention will be successful :D?

It will be called "clip in da hood" and it is called that for 2 reasons. One, it is literally, a clip in the hood. And two, a clip in the "hood". Now i have noticed that thugs and people living in the "hood" always wear hoods. But they wear them on the back of their head to look "swag" or whatever. Often i have wondered how it stays in place that far back on the head. I have seen numerous times, the hood falls and they doesn't stay in place. CLIP IN DA HOOD TO THE RESCUE!!!!

My invention will be inside the hood, will be a clip attached (note: it won't really be a CLIP but more of a small COMB). They pull the hood slightly over the head, as they normally would. Now because they have nappy hair, the small comb easily grips the hair and stays in place. Meaning they can do their everyday stuff and not worry about repositioning the hood if it falls down.

I really took the time to plan this out. I honestly think it will be used all across america. How do i go about selling and getting rich off of it and getting proper marketing? Btw im only 14 so does that limit my appromities at all?

You shouldn't share your ideas.

But no this wouldn't be successful. Yes it solves a problem, however:

first off the name (while clever) is so off mark for your target market.

next, I don't think this would really appeal to your target market. I can't see anyway in which this would be perceived as a cool (for lack of a better word) product.

First, you should NOT be telling people about your invention. People can steal the idea from you even if you came out with the idea. What matters, is WHO filed for a patent to protect your invention, NOT who came out with the idea. Plus, if you tell others about your idea, tell them to sign a NDA or Non-Disclosure Agreement. Just Google/Yahoo the words and their are some samples to download or copy and paste. Once they sign it, you can go ahead and tell them about your idea/invention, if they don't sign it, then, they can't hear about it - that simple! This form just says that you are the owner of this idea.
As well a lot of guys who wear hoods, are bald or have very little hair for it to cling on. For example, Lebron James - could he wear this even if he has VERY short hair? Also, it doesn't matter how young or old - if you think you can make it, then get some guidance from adults who can direct you. You will need to get a design patent - so that nobody designs or creates one, plus, you will have to trademark the name of your invention - so that nobody can use the same name or "clip in da hood." It costs money for this. Good luck.
