Is it common that your ads on Craigslist will get "ghosted" & how to avoid this problem?

If a poster is not a scammer or spammer, ghosting is rare. It is a means that the site uses to reduce spam. On rare occasions, an innocent ad is caught.

It can be due to the IP range, geographical location, editing, ad content, posting history, account activity, a ton of stuff.

If you have one of the innocent ads that is getting ghosted, ask the volunteers at the Help Desk forum what you should do. Come in, give them the link to the ad, explain if you did any editing on it, and see if they can help. forums.craigslist.org/?forumID=9
