Making One Direction merchandise?

How does one go about making a merchandise with the bands lyrics on it... is that even possible. Or illegal cause it's 'copying writing'? Please help! Thanks.

Like putting team logos on shirts, you would have to be approved to license their likeness, I have seen $10,000 as a common licensing fee. The U.S. authorities have shut down some Chinese jersey sites that they consider counterfeit the same as designer hand bags.
