What are some good tips to get a buisness started ?

I`m almost done with buisness college and thinking about starting a buisness. Can anybody give me any good tips to get started ??? Anything good will help, thanks !

Just listened to a lecture by a business sage suggesting after carefully writing a business plan, estinating costs and the break even point that you triple the cost estimate. Keep your up front investments as low as possible, no multi-year leases, used equipment whenever possible, there's always a fair possibility you will be selling off assets in a years time.
