What is the difference between "Competitive advantage" and "positioning"?12 months ago - 1 answers
"Competitive advantage" sounds like anything to give an edge over the competition, lower costs and retail prices, fresher produce than the other grocer, better location, bigger signs, brighter packaging, a better established brand name, etc.
"positioning" I believe has to do with the market being targeted, luxury cars may have higher markup than vans because they are positioned as prestige symbols. Just a chance in cereal packaging can position the same product as a premium health food demanding a higher price.
No doubt wikipedia has more concise definitions.
