i want a little counter-top dishwasher that is strictly for silverware, i despise washing silverware.

You cannot copyright any idea. 17 USC § 102(b). You also cannot patent any idea; although you might patent an INVENTION that qualifies as being a "new and non-obvious" implementation of your idea.
