How can I shut off the commercial ads?

on the side of my email I constantly get pop up ads for singles or any other ad, you name it, it pops up. I do not want to see any ads pop up on my email. Thanks, if anyone knows how to shut this down.

If you get your email for free, you are going to have ads. That is how they pay to keep the email program running.
