Can I put "no soliciting" in my mailbox?

We live in an apartment complex, and everyday I check our mailbox. It's always full of crap! Junk mail and Ads are always crammed into our tiny little mailbox. I'm so sick and tired of it. How can I get rid of all these ads (lots of ads)? If I put "No Soliciting" in my mailbox, is it going to stop them? What would be the best solution so they stop putting all these newspaper ads in our mailbox?

You cannot stop the mail and the mailperson is not responsible for going through your mail to determine what is a unsolicited document. You just have to keep weeding out the waste.
