Question

Is there a way to place an ad in the newspaper for free?

I thought I could advertise in the classifieds section for a job wanted. I tried Craigslist & backpage and that's not working.

So is it possible to do place an ad for free or should I call and ask the Pittsburgh post gazette, penny saver, etc. and ask them directly?

I don't think so dude. There is no such thing called free ads. You have to pay for your ads. But if the advertising company is benefiting from the product that you are selling then I think it can be free.
