Craigslist Scam? Or legit?
Someone sent me this exact message. It doesn't involve cashier checks but I don't know.

Yes, total scam, both of them.
Craigslist sales should be IN PERSON, FOR CASH. Period.

That is Definitely a scam. I've tried using craigslist many times, and had to close my email account because of so many junk emails.
Please don't use craigslist.

but in the newest version instead of you shipping the item the fake paypal email says money has been sent but won't be credited until after the shipper confirms they have picked up the item. In either case, you lose your item and don't get paid
Plus with your Paypal ID they will continue to target you with phishing scams to hack your account going forward
This is why Craigslist is very clear when they tell you to ONLY deal with people you can meet face to face and NEVER give out Paypal details to anyone

NEVER GIVE OUT FINANCIAL INFORMATION (bank account number, social security number, eBay/PayPal info, etc.) "
Relist your item and put something like CASH ONLY, LOCAL BUYERS ONLY, NO SHIPPING, NO EXCEPTIONS across the top and bottom of the ad and ignore everyone wanting anything else
Don't even reply to these scammers or your email address will end up on a spam list and you'll be spammed to death
